Hi everyone, my name is Boyd.
I am the creator of the YouTube channel BIG Feathers Farm. I absolutely love to talk about and do entertaining things with my chickens.
It all started with owning some backyard chickens of my own, while I was 12 years old, and overtime I got more interested in chickens and wanted to order some ornamental chicken breed eggs. With the help of my mom and dad I hatched out the chicks and raised them to adult age. I started making videos about the chickens, I got more and more into it and here I am today. I have learned so much more about chickens and YouTube altogether.
One thing that I also love is the outdoors. I love to go fishing and explore the wilderness, sitting down on a nice fall day, when the tree leaves have turned orange and just listening to the fish jump in the river is amazing. And exploring the wilderness, going in caves, walking through the woods, seeing all the animal holes and nests, I also love that. One of the other things I enjoy doing is watching Formula 1 with my dad. Every Saturday we watch the qualifying or sprint race and on Sunday it's time for the race, which is the most exciting. And of course we cheer for Max Verstappen, the cool thing is that we have been cheering for him since far before he was ever world champion and now he has won 3 world championships.
Chickens are one of my biggest passions overall. I learn something new about them every single day, spending time with my chickens is one of my favorite things to do. Beyond their charming demeanor, chickens are remarkably intelligent creatures. Their ability to solve problems, recognize faces, and even form social bonds never ceases to amaze me. Watching them navigate their coop, forage for food, and interact with each other is a never-ending source of fascination. But perhaps most importantly, chickens have shown me the value of unconditional love. Their acceptance of me, regardless of my mood or appearance, has been super cool to experience. My passion for chickens extends beyond mere admiration. I am deeply committed to their welfare and well-being. I strive to provide them with a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment where they can thrive and express their natural behaviors. The joy of witnessing their contentment and happiness is a reward in itself.

I have even created my own backyard chicken breed, this chicken looks absolutely beautiful and lays big beautiful cream colored eggs. Every single morning I wake up at 5:45 AM before I go to school and I open up the chicken’s doors for the day so they can get some fresh air. When I come back from school I give the chickens food, give them water, I take care of the cats at the chicken coop, I make a video for the next morning and then lock them up.
We have cats at the chicken coop who take care of the mice, they roam throughout the barn and the chicken coops and runs catching all the mice and rats. Having the cats around is also just nice and fun. They are a joy to be with and they’re always looking forward to seeing you. BIG Feathers Farm is a haven of feathered and feline charm, where chickens and barn cats coexist in a symphony of clucks, purrs, and playful antics. Their daily adventures, a blend of the mundane and the extraordinary, fill my heart with joy and laughter.
Mornings are a flurry of activity, as the chickens greet the rising sun with a chorus of enthusiastic clucks. Their feathered bodies, adorned in a rainbow of colors, dance across the coop, eager to start their day. The barn cats, still groggy from their overnight slumber, emerge from their cozy nooks, their eyes gleaming with curiosity and mischief. The overall adventures I have with the chickens and the barn cats is awesome. Most of my video ideas come from hanging out with the chickens and cats. Doing the chicken and cat chores is just another time to think about good video ideas to come up with.
Chickens are definitely one of my biggest passions, but my biggest passion overall is Jesus Christ. God has blessed me with the opportunity to make videos about something I absolutely love. Don't forget that everyday you wake up is another day Jesus has given you to spread the Gospel and tell others about HIM.
